The Context
Layer.
RECEIPT is a decentralized protocol for standardized payment metadata. It sits between the transaction layer and the application layer, providing the "why" for every "what".
Standardization Layer
Defines the RCPT-V1 schema. A universal set of categories and fields that ensure interoperability between all RECEIPT-enabled wallets and apps.
Verification Layer
Handles onchain hashing and timestamping. Creates an immutable cryptographic link between the payment context and the transaction hash.
Privacy Layer
Optional zero-knowledge or encryption support for sensitive commercial data. Public verification of validity without exposing private details.
Protocol Workflow
Beyond static receipts.
The RECEIPT protocol is designed to be extensible. In future versions, we will introduce programmable receipts that can trigger smart contract actions, enable streaming payment context, and support cross-chain verification.
ERC-4337 Ready
Native support for account abstraction and bundled transactions.
AI Optimized
Standardized context for autonomous agents to explain their financial decisions.
